Water

This keeps the ingredients moist and enjoyable when placed in your mouth, and it facilitates a steady release of flavour.

Plant fibre

Sometimes referred to as E460, plant fibre is the main physical filler in a nicotine pouch. It provides the structural base for the pouch's shape and form. In our pouches, it’s made mostly from cellulose – a natural structure found in plant cell walls like eucalyptus or pine.

Plant fibres are strong, ensuring the pouch doesn’t break apart when you put it in your mouth and that all the other ingredients are safely held inside. ZONE fibres are also soft with a light texture so the pouch can sit comfortably in your mouth.

Food-grade flavourings

Flavourings make the taste of nicotine pouches enjoyable. ZONE is currently available in five flavours:

There’s also a touch of salt to taste.

Sweeteners

Sugar-free sweeteners, such as xylitol (E967) and sucralose (E955) are added to the mix to balance out any bitter tastes and round out the flavour.

PG

Propylene glycol – PG for short – is one of two core bases. PG is a thin and clear liquid used in our nicotine pouches that helps carry the flavourings.

VG

Vegetable glycerine – VG for short – is the other core base. This is thicker and stickier than PG and is slightly sweet. This is because it can be extracted from plant oils like coconut or palm.

VG and PG are used as moisture-retaining agents (humectants) in nicotine pouches, as well as stabilisers to keep the plant fibre filling inside the pouch from drying out.
VG and PG are often used in vapes too. If you’re a vaper, read: Nicotine Pouches vs Vaping: What's the Difference?

Pharmaceutical-grade nicotine

ZONE is currently available in three different nicotine strengths, which are identified on each can using dots:

  • Three dots = 10mg of nicotine

  • Four dots = 11mg of nicotine

  • Seven dots = 17mg of nicotine

If you’re new to ZONE, we recommend starting with three dots, while if you’re more experienced and looking for something stronger, you might want to try four or seven dots.
